Wood Festival
The organisers behind Truck, the UK’s coolest small-but-perfectly-formed summer festival, are creating a new kind of music event, powered by bicycles, wood-burning stoves and the sun. It’s a fantastic celebration of music and nature, so naturally it’s called… Wood!
The festival will be held in the beautiful grounds of Braziers Park, just south of Wallingford, on 16th, 17th and 18th May. Tickets are just £45 including 3 nights camping and all workshops, or £20 per day, and kids under 14 go free.
Oxfordshire Green Pages is a Wood partner, so we’ll be having a stall there with complimentary copies of Green Pages available for everyone. We’re also running daily competitions to win some great prizes donated by green-minded Oxfordshire businesses.
Things made of Wood include the composting toilets, the showers, the campfires, the guitars, the yurts (yes, you can hire one), and of course the stage. The food will be cooked in wood-fired ovens and every performer will do a song by Woody Guthrie.
